Did that Instagram photo leave you surprised? Oh yes! The eyebrow tattoo is back. However, this time it is unlike the 90’s – it’s way classier. Microblading is a specific cosmetic process that has become popular in the last couple of years. With the help of handheld needles, professionals you can get bolder eyebrows and a pigment will be deposited under the initial layer of skin.
Hence, if you are looking to flatter yourself with some incredible pictures – there are certain important points to note before you start off microblading!
Here are few things you need to know about microblading before going for it:
1. Are you sure it’s for you?
Imagine a dusky lady going in for a suntan – not a suitable beauty secret, right? Well, similarly, you first need to find out if microblading is the one for you! Only if you are looking for over-plucked brows with defined cover gaps – you can go in for microblading.
Note: STAY AWAY – if you have a too-oily skin, or autoimmune disorders, eczema and psoriasis.
2. It’s not permanent!
Are you ready for a touch up every 12-18 months? If not – then you need to think again! When this procedure is carried on, certain pigments which are present in this ink are permeated into the skin. On the other hand –these pigments will be pushed out by the skin once again after some time. To manage this consistent eyebrow, look, one has to keep doing these touch-ups.
Note: In case you don’t like the look of your eyebrows, in your next session you can very well change it!
3. Some more sessions can make it look better!
If your concerned beauty artist has promised you a single session – beware! A minimum of 2 sittings is required for garnering that perfect look since there are high tendencies that your eyebrow will not remain completely saturated after the initial procedure.
Make sure, you go in for two brief sittings, and then take a 4-week break before coming back for the final touch-up.
Note: With a change in your facial structure and skin’s texture, there is a high probability that the look of the eyebrows will also change. No need to worry! A sitting or two can sort this issue!!
4. Some changes can happen – be ready:
Your brows may not look as perfect as those pics, but certain changes can happen- nothing abnormal. Since nobody’s eyes are equidistant from each other, hence starting point of your eyebrows will be different. On the whole, such factors along with the presence of ocular cavities add on to the whole look of your brows.
Another very important point is – the ink not settling down immediately and giving you a bold look! Even that’s nothing to worry about – various skin react in a different manner!
Note: Just after the microblading, do not use any harsh chemical in that area. Give it some time till your second sitting.
5. Look out for the intense results:
There are chances that your eyebrow may look a little out of the context (read: extra twirled) initially. Also, chances are high that it may look comparatively bolder and of a darker shade. Well, that’s not an issue since with time it will settle down with your skin and the permeating fluids will ensure that the whole area is coloured with the same intensity.
Note: Don’t miss out your second and third sittings! They will help to settle down this ‘extra intense look’.
6. Pick the right artist
This is the most important point that you must note while getting the microblading done. Check out the credentials of the concerned artist from whom you will get your brows done. He or she must have a certificate and enough previous experience before you experiment with your brow. It’s your look – own it like a boss!
Note: Your salon friend can do it really well, but a trained guy will do it best!
7. Care for it – it’s an art:
Microblading is not the usual technique. It is an art and requires complete care for a specific time period. Be careful!
Once you are sure of these points – rest assured you are ready for the microblading session. So, which look do you wish to go for? Don’t forget to leave your comments below and update that Instagram picture!
